Be Part of the Mission!

Amachi- Break the Cycle works with volunteers who have a wealth of life experience, skills and talents that allow them to learn firsthand how their contributions can change their local communities. These volunteers are willing to commit to supporting, guiding, and being a friend to a child for one hour a week for at least one year.
Mentors receive a comprehensive screening process and are required to undergo criminal background checks, provide personal and professional references, and attend professional mentor training classes. Our belief is that the devoted attention of an adult spending quality time with a child of an incarcerated parent will strengthen the lives of children, their families, and our local community.

We are always in need of mentors!! Amachi-Break the Cycle seeks mentors who will serve in their local communities by being a role model for children of incarcerated parents. All mentors who are 55 years and older will be enrolled as RSVP members.

Please fill out the mentor interest form or download an application below to be considered for becoming a mentor. Mentors must also read and abide by our mentor job description.
